I had the opportunity to take the evo out to a test n tune yesterday, and with my newly acquired flash, I figured I'd give it a shot. All in all I got 10 runs in, and was mildly impressed with what I was able to coax out of it. I dont think I had one launch i was impressed with however. Here are the details about the car...

2003 Evo
K&N Cone filter
WORKS P2R ECU (6000rpm 2-step, ecu controlled boost at 20psi)
Vibrant Cat-Back
Stock Clutch

The car also has a defi-boost guage, but thats irrelevant

I should point out I was running blizzack tires, and I didnt even check the tire pressure.

I ran pretty consisten low 13's, but the best of the day was this....

The ECU was installed on my car with the anticipation of a TBE being installed. I havent received this TBE yet, so I anticipate I'll pick up some speed/time and get myself into the 12's. I'm pretty confident if I took it out again and played with the tire pressures & clutch engagement, I could have a 1.7 or better 60', which would definatley drop the overall ET.

BTW the car against me in the timeslip was an LS1 Camaro SS with several bolt-ons. It was also running drag radials. I eventually treed him and toasted his ass

the other guys 1/8th mph is really low. did he miss a shift or something? who did you go with? sho and graff? and btw great time, andy!

The speed sensors were messed up on the left hand lanes for most of the day, giving incorrect readings

i had that happen to me one time, too. it said my 1/4 mile time was slower than the car i was up against, and i clearly beat it by at least 2-3 cars

How long til the Evo is running with the Z?

Great times for the mods, BTW.

going to really try and excercise some restraint. I dont think its getting any more mods till next spring, at least.

I'm going to be working on a cage for the Z this winter, so thats going to take some attention off of the Evo hopefully!
