hey guys,

now that I back in town, I am also ack in the game.

I installed some new savey parts on the GSX.

I now have the CF taillights, billet aluminum spark plug cover, Cusco catch can installed.

I have also mounted the SAFCII, but am awaiting the installation instructions to be faxed to me by APEX-i.

I also picked up a FMIC from kris144, but probably won't crack into that job till the weekend.

Data logger will be shipped from the budmann shortly and some boost leak testing sessions will occur shortly as well.

I will definately let you know how all of that turns out.

thanks bud....

thats a lot shorter than the 30+ page thing that apex i said they are going to fax me... then again they said that they were going to include instructions for tuning the safc II to my car.

been home 3 days, doesn't take me long to get working when I don't have school or work to go to and I have a goal in mind.

it's the FMIC install that worries me... thats a lot of custom fabbin to do blink.gif

are you going to make it on Sunday?

not gonna make it to SCDC sad.gif

I have plans this weekend with my old lady and the car won't be race ready anyway

also.... apex-i send me wiring diagrams for hooking uo the safc II, but not the instructions for the tuning.... anyone know how to do that that can give me some advise... I am sure that once I get a data logger hooked up that will help.

Tuning is not something you need instructions faxed to you by apexi

It would help to first do a 3rd gear pull log, and then post the log...from there, we can show you where the timing is dropping off and the knock is showing up...After figuring out the rpm range where the knock is evident, you will want to add fuel to those rpm set points (hi-throttle) and keep tuning and logging until your timing is rising and knock is gone...

Hopefully you have all of the supporting fuel mods and overboosting

If you don't mind my asking why a 3rd gear pull? Why not 1st, 2nd, 3rd?
I know this is probably a stupid Q. but I would like to know.

3rd or 4th gear give you more logged sample points throughout the RPM range.
