i have a 93 gsx and just started having some problems with reverse. for like a week it wouldnt go in like there wasnt a reverse at all in the car, and then just the other day it started working again and i havent had any problems since.

Is your tranny fluid, clutch fluid, ect. all up to snuff? Any leaks from slave or master cylinder, binding of linkage or anal seepage present? Check over the basics like that and let us know.

It may be a minor wear/tear issue like the fluid, or you may need a rebuild.

More info about your car would be helpful... auto or manual tranny for starters.

Try getting underneath the dash and adjusting the master cylinder adjusment rod out some.

it is a 5 speed and all the fluids are fine. there is a very minor leak in the master cylinder but thats it. we just had the tranny out to change the clutch and there wasnt any leaks. all of the other gears work perfect though with no grinding or anything what so ever

Well im telling you this from multiple experiences, I would still adjust the master cylinder adjusment rod. and if the master cylinder is leaking you really need to replace it. once they start leaking theyre like ticking time bombs, itll go out all of a sudden at the worst moment.

So did you just take the tranny out AFTER you started having problems, or did the problems start after you replaced the clutch and put the tranny back in? From your other post, it seems that the problems may have started after the new clutch install. Or the 6000 rpm launches on a clutch that wasn't properly broken in may have something to do with the problem blink.gif
