I was wanting to know if straight through exhaust is good/bad on our cars, or my drag car?
mitsu90

The less exhaust restrictions the better, as a general rule.

if it's a drag car why have an exhaust at all? I'd just run a pipe straight out the side in front of the drivers wheel. just get buschurs alternator relocation kit and you and run a pipe right out the side. that's if you don't just want to run it straight down from the turbine housing.

exactly. hey, darryl. do you guys have the alternator relocation kit from buschur? did you have any problems getting it to fit?

I had to chop off a corner of my engine mount, get a new belt (theirs assumes water pump deletion) and even then, it's very close to the frame of the car right at the alternator pulley.

Yours hits the engine mount? We had grind on the bracket some to get it to fit properly. The people that were machining it for David screwed up slightly. It does fit close to the frame. It will brush the frame from time to time unless you have solid motor mounts. With solid mounts it doesn't brush the frame as much.

Currently we don't run an alternator. The 16 volt battery gets the job done.

If you do the alternator relocation kit you can just run an open O2

One could but why would you want to do that?
