.....definitely = FUN!
Anybody else have fun in the fresh powder yet? I couldn't resist doing a donut before I even got out of the driveway. Donuts here, donuts there, it's braking without ABS that's the problem (while doing donuts I mean). This winter is my first time doing snow donuts in an AWD and it's like I was missing a part of myself all this time, soooo much fun. Who else has already done the four-wheel wonder?

I was sideways all the way to work this morning and I loved every second of it. I actually have to push her a little bit to get her to break loose in the snow with the snow tires on.

All-seasons here and was nice - I don't like the slide-wide on sloppy/slushy turns tho. Really miss dedicated snows at those (sometimes nervous) moments ... heh.

I drove my brothers camaro this morning and holy shit thats awesome! You seriously have to throttle the gas to get it to go straight. Who ever buys a camaro or anything like that for just a daily get around car in illinois has got to have some problems right about now.

I found out it's not going straight that's the problem. I was even doing 70mph on the backroads that look like they'd been salted once this morning. No, it's keeping the darn thing on the road while doing a (semi-controlled) slide because everytime you do a slide, it eventually catches traction and shoots across to the other side of the road. And braking hard without ABS is out of the question. Darn near went in the ditch this morning because of it. Coming up to a busy intersection I merely tapped the brakes and it locked the fronts up completely. Crazy!

What kind of dumbass would ...... oh wait
That’s right I'm still driving the SS. I don’t know how I even got out of the driveway this morning. Then when I was dropping the kid off at school I almost didn’t make it out of the parking lot. All I had to do was let up on the clutch (I didn’t even give it any gas) and the damn thing was spinning and sliding sideways. The wheels were meant more for the drag strip and not for Midwest snow though. Man I better get the AWD 94 done in a hurry or i'm screwed. But it was a blast in the empty parking lots!!

I remember last year with my nissan 240 at school... it had snowed during school and all school day i was like... s*** s*** f***... no sandbags and baldish tires... it was only an inch or so I get to my car clean the windows off of snow and hop in. spinning tires YAY! Well friends push it starts to move sweet maybe I can get home.. 30 minutes later I have moved one row forward and 10 parking spaces down! Come back the next day and I can still BARELY get out of there!

I remember snowy days in the old R/T Dakota.... fun, but much like driving a camaro in the snow. 265/45/17 KDS G-force tires on a RWD pick-up pushing nearly 300 HP doesn't do well in the snow. not to mention that it had ABS in the rear only. the only thing I had going for me was the fact that it tipped the scales at nearly 3900 lbs. unfortunately that was mostly in the front.
I haven't had the GSX out in the snow ever... too bad it has been down for upgrades for fixes during those times.... sounds like fun, maybe I can get er put backtogether shortly so I can have some fun..... I know how badky she likes to get sideways in the wet, I just can't wait to see how she gets in the snow.

What I DID find interesting later today is how the power delivery and amount of it is different this winter than last ... heh. Left turns from a dead stop and you think you're OK cuz there doesn't seem to be any snow or ice ... whoa! Perhaps not much snow or ice but cold pavement and new torque makes things a bit more tailhappy! Thank goodness for AWD ...

Last year when I was in town for break, I had to open the vid (Family Video). I just got done relatively plowing the driveway, hopped in the ole 240, and $hit! Car went nowhere!!! I was doing everything I could for 10 minutes trying to get that driftmobile out of the driveway (slightly uphill climb). It was fun at school. I went to my place and would go around a turn traveling at 30 in 4th, slightly pressing down the throttle and WOO HOO!! Look at that A$$ go!!! A sandbag was bought right there after
Now, the truck is a somewhat different story. I went around a turn Sunday on my way to school and just barely gave it some gas on a damp road and there went the rear!! The snow will be an even bigger pain this winter.
The JBone loves RWD in the snow!!
