I have recently been doing some more reading on the internet and found that People are having trouble getting the Cometic head gasket to seal. Even Scott from Victory Performance said tha a Cometic requires a mirror finish on both the block deck and cylinder head to get a good seal. He recommended the SCE Titan ISC gasket.

There are a number of people that are using this gasket on DSMTuner. So far no one has posted any serious complaints about it. Below is a link to FFWD.com, who is the dealer for them. If anyone has info on this head gasket let me know. Scott at Victory recommended I try the SCE gasket before I go to the O-ring option.

Sounds like a good less expensive alternative, Marcus. The guys at Slowboy racing also recommended that gasket to me a while back. My Cometic never failed me, but I like the fact that this Titan gasket is copper with an internal O-ring. Copper gaskets seem to be what a lot of the serious drag racing teams use. Kinda makes sense when you consider how well copper crush washers seal even under high pressure.

I am guessing, based on price, that the gaskets on Slowboy are not the "latest". They do not mention the ICS technology but they do have the Titan version of the gasket.
