can i put a flywheel off a 92 non turbo onto a 90 turbo? They appear to be a little different in size and the way they look. The reason i ask is cuz the non turbo
flywheel has a new clutch on it and was wondering if i could swap them.
BudmannG
No you can't do that!
eclaser353
alright could you tell me about how much a new clutch is gonna run me?
BudmannG
That depends on what you want.
If you want stock it will probably run you around $150.00
If you want better than stock your going to pay $200.00 and up.

is it best to go through a dealer or aftermarket. do you know any good sites for
parts.
AWD DSM 1
might be a gently used one on this board if you're not afraid of used stuff. You can pick them up for as little as $50 used.

The dealer is often refered to as satan... enough said?

I got my ACT 2600 form AWDNOT2.com on this board.

Think long and hard about your future plans for the car before buying a clutch. If you're going to run some moderate boost and drag it go with a aftermarket clutch (ACT 2100 or 2600 or similiar). That way you're not redo things later, pull the trans, resurface the flywheel etc.

for an ACT Clutch check out www.prostreetonline.com
thats where I got my 2600 for cheap
SCCA Stang
aren't there a few mods that need done to the slave cylinder and pedal assembly if you run with the 2600???
awdnot2
Nothing needs to be done to the slave cylinder or pedal assembly unless you have worn components.

True. And those modifications can be a real B*TCH! But, once they're done you don't ever have to do it again.

Brent, for what you're looking to do, an ACT 2100 would be more than adequate. You aren't looking to run this thing hard for some time yet, so you'll probably run through a clutch before you start making a bunch of power on that thing. Pick up a used one for cheap if you can, just make sure there's plenty of wear surface left.

Just to clarify, if you find a 2600 at a good price, pick it up. There's no harm in going a little bigger.

Got a pressure plate available brand new.
