Ok as you all know i broke one of my rear cv shafts a few weeks back. Well over the past weekend I put in a new one. I checked to be sure the teeth in the rear end werent messed up first and they looked fine. Now my problem is when driving the car it shakes and vibrates really bad. The car needs an alignment and I didnt know if this would make it shake real bad or if maybe the shaft isnt in all the way. Just asking for some other peoples .02.

it could be that the shaft is out of balance (even if it is new)... it could also be out of phase.... if it is either and the shaft is new, that should be covered under a warrantee from the manufacturer of the shaft....
it is also possable that the other shaft could have been damaged by the same force that broke the first failed shaft.... did you replace them as a set???
one rule of thumb is: parts that wear together are replaced together....

Well what ever it was the car is gone. I sold it today to a dsmer in michigan. He drove 7hours to get it and was very pleased. His wife has a 2g with a 2.3 stroker in it.

cool well, looks like you no longer have to figure out where the vibration is coming from....
I hope you got what you wanted out of your car
