Ok so I've reasently droped MAD bank on my DSM and am a month or two away form getting it ready to start breaking crap. I've reasently purchased a FP3065, 1000cc injectors, a full AEM set up with wide band, 3.5 bar map, and gm IAT, Shepard stage III tranny, full polly bushing kit for the whole car. Now all I have to do is get the time to put my motor together and tune it.

Now the question at hand, do I A) do I have fun with the car as origanly planed or B )sell the car and all of the parts, and buy a C5 vett and get the TT kit that makes 700WHP@12.5 PSI. blink.gif I've seen vetts going pretty reguraly on autotrader and verious other sites in the 13K to 17K range, lightly wrecked vett for around 8K. The TT kit from HP performance is $8950 and comes with everyting, even a cluch!

Oppinoins.....

Are you asking keep the DSM or sell it and buy a C5? What do you want? Pretty mean animal either way, more a matter of taste to me.

Basicly, I'm really on the fence. The problem is I don't know exactly what I want (go figure). wacko.gif

Losing the AWD would be a negative but as you already said, with the DSM you will definately be breaking stuff. While I am sure that a C5 is not exactly built to hold 700hp it is more likely to do it than a DSM with 500hp.

I think that my draw to DSMs is the underdog aspect of 4 cyl power!

Marko, or super car tunning, others know him as Marko with the worlds fastest street supra, is running a stock bottom end, and 6.0 truck heads. He put down 698 WHP on his dyno last week and has over 80 dyno pulls and 3K+ miles on the curent set up. Although I would probly just run the LQ9 heads with a forged bottom end with a little bit more boost.

Don't want to stray off topic but doesn't Super Street Magazine have a 1000hp "Street" Supra every month?

I was talking to a few guys on corvette forum and evedently the cure for that problem is to install polly mounts for the engine and trans axle, and cryo treat the tork tube it's self. It seams that no matter which way I go I'm looking at breaking stuff.

same weight

same power maybe?

the vettes geometry is probably slighty better and you get alot of baller points for having a TT C5 over a big turbo 10 year old mitsu

of course, insurance is going to be a BITCH so deg want to check it out

I liek DSM's but I love vettes so I am a bit biased

You know, I have had a change of heart. I think that you should get the C5 and part with that 3065 real cheap...

If I do I'll let you know and post up a "package deal". lol

A TT C5 would definitely appeal to the ladies. That's always worth factoring in for a single guy.
