You know how when you're a kid, and there's the free prize inside cereal? Man, you dig through those sugar-caked flakes like a 10yr-old trying to get out of Michael Jackson's mansion. Well, my brother and I were doing just that today, sifting through the innards of Goat's Bane in search of the coveted prize: an ACT 2100 pressure plate that he was needing.

The tranny was finally dropped and behold!!!!

A total piece of crap.


Now keep in mind that I've been pressured by a "friend" to get this car back on the street, claiming that is was "totally driveable". Well, this "friend" was sadly mistaken. Behold! the prize that was inside the box:







Unfortunately, both pieces are a total loss, so my brother was a little disappointed, but he's making a great deal for a stock setup, so he'll be fine. I love how I could see my reflection in the pressure plate. You can see a lot of divets in the plate surface, too. All kinds of craziness. And let's not discuss all the missing bolts I found during my adventure.

wow, so is a stock unit going in it's place or what is going in there???

Looks like it was trying to hold a little more power than it was designed for... If that's the same one that I put in, it was used when I got it. Probably about time for a new one...

Aw, don't be mad buddy! I know it's not your fault, and this was to be expected from an old clutch. I just didn't think the pressure plate would be that dorked up. I'm glad I waited to put this thing back together, though!!

Looks like I'll have to wait a while longer before I lay that pounding on you.

Hey, is this kit from slowboy a genuine spec clutch or some sort of knock-off made just for them? I think I'll be going with this kit, just wanted to get some feedback.

If this isn't what I'm looking for, I'll get the stage 3+ or stage 4 kit from someone else.

I think the spec's are blue... I have a feeling that's a knock off... I'd go ACT or genuine SPEC.
