So ... spy posts a thread and it's immediately locked. A while later, Image posts a thread that gets a few seemingly innocent replies ... now it's gone.

Should I assume, spy, you locked that thread so nobody could reply and that you deleted Image's thread? Or is there some other moderator who looked over both spy's original post and Image's post and thought that spy's post needed to be locked and that there was something heinously nasty, uncivilized, mean, and/or hateful about Image's post giving them no choice but to delete the entire thread - after careful, balanced, understanding consideration, of course?

Just curious - but it all does look really, really bad. Even classless from what I've seen ... but I'm no all-knowing, well-intentioned, fair-minded moderator, so WTF do I know?

From the logs it would appear that Natedogg did not agree with what was in the threads... Spy is off the hook(except for locking the thread).

I initiated both the change in spy's original post to keep the peace as he mentioned, and deleted Images post to cut the BS and responses to BS to a minimum.

Spy starts almost every dispute that is brought up on DSMCentral. He has been banned from every other local site that is still in existance, but he is a good friend and is willing to live with his rantings being moderated here.

If someone thinks I should let this SHIT go un-moderated then you can kiss my *** or go home. I don't care.

No, not at all am I saying it shouldn't be moderated. But, in my mind (as fvcked up as it may be) I believe that when something's deleted or modified that it is stated somewhere, somehow.

A thread from spy like that being immediately locked along with my (correct?) understanding that he has moderator powers here makes me think he was doing all the dirty work himself. My bad. I've been sitting here all day ready to run his ass up the integrity flag pole. Again, my bad, I'm sorry spy.

I certainly think crap should be moderated and I understand giving spy some latitude. But for those of us that breeze through seeing contents change it brings that "integrity" thing into question. The math I was doing this morning watching it all add up smelled really, really bad. I'm glad it didn't go that way. And, one more time, I apologize, spy.

All that being said, and probably what got me started spinning in a bad way this morning, is spy claiming he "beat" an Evo last night. That might deserve a bit more discussion in public or not. But that's not what this thread's about. The thread it might have gone in is locked.
