Goo
I'm spent (lights a cigarette).
I definately am a fan of that exhaust manifold. Is that custom, a one off, or a soon to be mass produced one? Or am I oblivious to the manifolds available.
Good Luck

nice.
I was under the imperssion that all the ams 42R kits had dual wastegates, but I've never seen one for a DSM, only EVO.
Is this on a 2.0 or a 2.3? Did Martin do the tuning? Any hp numbers that you may share?
It has two wg ports merging into one. Two was not possible on my car due to fiatment issues, but the wg does sample from both sides.
The car is not tuned yet so no number but at 28 psi on the old setup (T4gt35R) it made over 615 whp. Im trying to hit 800 on this setup.
The maybe close to 900 with the bottle.

That thing looks like the weak sauce!! I'll put my 14b up against it any day of last week.
My mouth is still hanging open from the size of that turbo.

Dude, you gonna have overheating issues with that? Why put thermal wrap on the radiator hose when you have a big ass manifold a few inches away from the radiator?

Probably to protect the radiator hose from that big ass manifold.
That is a big forkin' turbo. You and Darryl should run each other at the DSMcentral event.

Most if not all of the AMS cars will be at the Sport Compact Drag Challenge from what I understand. Along with the likes of those that freaquent the NOPI series I hope.

There should be a lot of increadibly high powered cars like this one at the event. This is gonna ROCK!

You can see it at the DMSMCentral SpoRt Compact Drag Challenge on July 2 in Cordova.

Maybe even at SloPny Drag Day on May 28th. What do you think Eric?

If I can make the June 11th meet, then I would love to come check this thing out in person...Looks amazingly sick!
Way to go Eric...Welcome to the GT42r club...I've seen at least 3-4 other 1g shopcars start using these in their projects...All trying to hit the magic '9'....
Yet to see it on a 2g tho....BTW eric, I don't think this car would make much of a daily driver...Do you drive an evo/dsm as a DD? Or is this where all your $$ goes

What is the name or address of the drag strip in Cordova? I'd like to look up directions on MapQuest.
Edit: Nevermind, I found

well my car is automatic with a big stall in it and I drove it all year. I finished the car (still have to do the high hp tune) but I drive it to work everyday. Its very streetable. Im sure most would get in it and want to kill themselves but im at peace with her. She runs 1600 CC injectors and aside from a rough idle here or there she is very easy to drive. Again though ive been trained in this car for a few years now.
I wont be at the SLOPNY day unfortunetely, that is the same day as an import wars event here. But its at the shop all the time and will be at the DSM drag challenge on the 2nd of july. I think low 9's will not be a problem.
on the GT35R i ran a best of 10.31@135 at 28psi
on 35 this turbo should run a mid nine fairly easily.
I love Automatics.
