I might be going on a parts run through a few of the local junk yards in search of an eprom ecu.... the thing that I need to know is.... how can you tell while at the yard that it is in fact the much sought after eprom.....

Only way to tell is to open it up.

There will be a letter "E" in the lower right hand corner of the white sticker label on the front cover if it's an EPROM. If not, it will have another letter.

Ive looked at a few boneyards around me, the ECU seems to be one of the first things that gets raped outta these cars sad.gif

Ebay's where it's at for the Eproms in my experience. I actually bought mine from Keydiver himself off of Ebay. I payed a premium as well, but knew it was in good condition and it was already socketed.

I don't have any experience with DSMLink but I thought you had to have an Eprom for it too?
