Replace the damper and the oil seal.

You probably have very little time before the dampener comes appart. Get it replaced ASAP
Turbo Tension
knock the car on the curb really hard, that should get it to fall off.

so the ff has sprung a mild oil leak. I believe its coming from the harmanic balancer sleeve and seal. the harmonic balancer has a small wable.. and ideas???

Too bad that a 4g63 dosn't have a harmonic balancer sleve, the seal is in the oil pump and seals up to the crank.

I have seen that before it usualy means that the trust barring is out. Should have stayed with hondas. biggthumpup.gif

If the thrust bearing is out, wouldnt the crank move in and out?

Also known as crankwalk... highly doubt the thrust bearing is shot...

most likely a dry oil seal and a bad balancer... fairly easy fix, just a PITA to get to.

I agree with Rob. Though 6-bolts can walk, its quite rare. You can check for crank walk by having a buddy push in the clutch pedal while you push and pull on the crank pulley to see if the whole assembly moves forward and back.

Really it sounds like its time for a crank pulley and oil seal. Might as well replace all the seals while your in there, or even replace the entire front case and oil pump gears for thoroughness.
