Hey guys...

Im running a PalmIII xe (os 3.5) and the mmcd software...I've got a cable with a 3 prong connector hooked up correctly to the 1-10-12 prongs on the diagnostic port...

For a while I could log and there were no problems, and then sometime later I just have nothing! I did the SAFC install, and had a few loose connections, but I dono why the logger wouldn't work b/c of it!

If I press "Test" as a mmcd function, instead of pulling a code (no CEL) it will come up either as 'Serial Comm error' or 'Ecu comm error'....What is going on?

Im using 1.5 software now b/c after I installed 1.8 is when the problem seemed to start, or at least when I first noticed it...

Possible Fix
:

Im strongly considering buying Budmann G's logger cables, which look to be much better quality...I don't know if my problem is the cable tho, altho buying a better cable will at least rule out the possibility...Im looking for any other ideas or advice...My 560cc injectors are waiting to go in, and I need to see if Im knocking with my current safc settings and the fuel pump in...Help me out guys....Thanks a lot for reading

I've had both the logger cable that runs to the diagnostic port and the serial cable that runs from the logger cable to the pda fail on me at different times. I'm betting its one of those.

Well the serial cable goes to a cradle..So Im hoping its not that...

Im buying Bud's high quality cable, and hopefully I can get this to work

BTW: My cable did start to work, but it fades in and out too much Im sick of it
