I was just curious if anyone has ever put bolts in place of the exhaust manifold studs? I would rather do this if possible. Also if you have where did you get them and what kind are they?
Thanks

I don't think it's possible with hex head bolts, I don't thinks there's sufficient head/tool clearance. Bolt heads are usally larger that the nuts. Cap head bolts might work.
Why do you want to replace the studs with bolts anyway?

because Im sick and tired of the studs busting off. I found a couple bolts that worked but im going to have to use a higher grade bolt and then it will work. I found it wasnt that hard to make them work especially with my header.

yeah i should have read your second post... what i was going to say was yes you can use bolts i have seen it done quite a bit. it makes it much easier if you are pulling the manifold often. i would also suggest pulling out the stud on the top of the turbo and using a 4th bolt. it makes pulling the manifold less of a bitch if you haven't already done that.
