If you have any other ideas add them here.

Thanks for the input guys!

This is just a thought, but if you incorporate a IM service for DSMCentral aren't you eliminating the purpose of the boards? Like I said just a thought!

As I posted before, I'd like to be able to post underneath someone's Exchange Ad and ask questions there. That way if someone else has the same question, they can read it there without having to email the buyer. Thus eliminating the need for a seller to answer the same question ten times in their emails.

Just a thought...

Good points guys. Brett, I have added the option for a correspondance box to Exchange ads. I'm not sure that we can do it, but it is an option that can be examined.

my beef with the pics was already fixed... good job by the way!!!!

I guess that my next priority would lie with the coorispondance box..

A part review forum could be nice. It would have to be well moderated and have some preset rules though to make sure it doesn't turn into shop bashing.

I like that idea!! biggthumpup.gif I'd give that one approval too.

Seems to me things like the Eibach Pro Kit/KYB AGX suspension setup would be the first things to go in that section.

How about a How To type tech section.

You know, "How I made a overflow bottle", "Intercooler piping made easy" kind of thing.

A lot of this depends on where kicks wants to take the site... some of that already exists on places like vfaq, tuners, or talk... do we want to set up to that level, or just stay more like we are now?

For the exchange correspondence thing, I think modeling it after what dsmtrader has done would be awesome, if that's possible.

If there was a place somewhere on this site that consolidated these things, whether they're just links to other references, would be great! It'd save the constant replies of "see VFAQ" or whereever...

Good stuff guys.

Also, if there are options that are up on the pole that someone has reservations about, now is the time to voice your opinion. Some of these things will begin to change soon.

I like the idea of a dedicated tech section or a reviews section, but what I would like to see a person or group to be responsible for the up-keep and moderation of that forum. If you have an idea or see ideas that you would like to take under your wing let me know here and we can work on making it happen. Keep in mind this is a long term responsibility, not overly taxing by any means but it does require some dedication. biggthumpup.gif

I have added the Parts Review & How-To section forums to the pole list. With moderation I think we can make these happen if there is enough interest. biggthumpup.gif

You know I'm always available for moderating.

What's it take to be moderator?

In the past, good hacking skills were required... ph34r.gif laugh.gif

Or just have have me log in at your house once so you can log back in as me at any time. Sure it's effective, but I wouldn't really call it hacking skills. laugh.gif

I have an Idea... lets start a forum for good tech articles.... and just to keep it under control and not over crowded, lets have the forum restricted so that the articles have to be started off in the general talk forum or what ever, then a mod can transfer them over, but allow added replies after the transfer.... but no rambling on as someone looking for tech advise don;t have to sift through BS trying to get info... this idea is just to make it so that guys don't have to sift through oodles of threads to find the tech article they need
awd4kicks
That's good Ben, and I think we could incorporate that into the How-To section that we are talking about. We just may want to call it the 'Tech' section instead.
