anyone wondering... the spoiler came from the 86 Fiero that I had for a while... works pretty good if you ask me.... it looks better in person than the pics show

I thought maybe you wanted a spoiler to match the carbon fiber tails. My fault...

I was thinking that spoiler was looking a little firebird(ish). Fiero makes sense

GSX, make sure you sand that paint line where the old paint starts and the blue paint ends. If you don't sand that down it'll look like a big outline right there. I can't tell if you sanded it already from the pics or not, but I figured I'd throw that out there just in case.

It's understandable. I stole Kicks avatar and modified it in photoshop to make it into a goat.

Any further progress on the spoiler swap GSX?

not really.... except that the spoiler mount gaskets that I ordered from The Fiero Store showed up...

I will be working more on it this weekend.... I started school again this week, so time has been very limited

heres the scoop on the swap... I am getting closer to done now that I worked all weekend on it. we finished all of the bondo prep yesterday and layed two coats of primer... this morning before school I layed a third coat of primer, and today after school I layed a layer of black enamal down... I figured that three coats of primer and a coat of enamal will keep any rust from forming.... BTW I wet sanded the primer with 800 grit between coats.

here is some pics with the bondo done and the primer on... will post more as the process continues.

Who are you going to have respray it in blue?

not sure, probably a body shop up here later this winter or next spring

here is the final outcome of the spoiler swap on my GSX... at least until I get it painted to match the rest of the car... there are 3 coats of primer on it with wetsand at 800 grit between and 2 coats of gloss black enamal with 800 grit wetsand between coats... next spring it should all be blue again.
