OK now that i got the fmic installed. Thanks to obx finally sending me instructions, I have a couple of questions about cooling. 1 now that I have a front mount on wont that slow the air down that flows across the radiator making it run alittle hoter or atleast make the fan run alot more. 2 So if thats the case what is a good brand of aftermarket radiators that are a direct fit that will do a beter job and not break me in the pocket book ohh try to keep in mind that I just bought a fmic to I am dont have a lot of extra cash. Any ideas will be most helpful. biggrin.gif

Have you run into any cooling problems yet? If not I would hold off on the radiator purchase until you are sure that you need it. The FMIC does steel some of the air's ability to cool the radiator, but most reviews of street FMIC's indicate that no cooling problems occur after the FMIC install. Usually it's only the large racing front mounts that can cause a problem and some of them are still ok.

There is no cheap answer if you need a better radiator. I would recommend the Fluidyn that I purchased. It has worked flawlessly and in this case I think that you will get what you pay for.

If your worried about it could always toss in some water wetter that stuff keeps temps down a little. Always could get some good fans or a koyo radiator..

technically, you are only supposed to use water wetter with accual water... not coolant.... it can cause gelling similar to mixing long life (dexcool) with standard coolant.

I am using an EVO VIII FMIC on my 1G GSX and have not seen any adverse effects from it and that FMIC is pretty fricken big in there..... I am on the stock radiator.

It says right on the bottle that you can add it to any kind of coolant.

My bad.... I was under a different impression.
