After changing my oil last night I went out to see if any of the fair weather performance cars had come out yet.

We found a pile of them from the old school racing town. I got a rematch with the profesional looking race 'stang that I ran at Cordova. Last year I suprisingly beat him through the 1/8 mile even though he was running 11.80's. This year he has spent some money on items such as a trans brake for launching. All I can say is that it was money well spent. My AWD didn't have anything to offer him...AT ALL. He launched first and simply pulled away from then on. Awsome show of power. Judging by the distance he put on me, I'd say he is going to be in the low 11's if not the 10's this year!

Although I had no misconceptions of wining through the quarter I had hoped for a repeat of last years Cordova run. So my ego was a little dinged up with my co-pilot rubbing it in out in public and all. dry.gif

So what better way to feel better than to walk on a 12 second truck. laugh.gif That was actually a good race. He was at Cordova last year too, and I thought he had run a 13.6. After talking to him he reported running a best of 12.7's at Cordova. He seemed slightly preturbed afterward, but I was that much happier to know I had put 2-3 cars on a 12.7 second running truck (Traction helping me). Especially since I was not running 112 octane for these current events. cool.gif

One of the best parts was having a Late model Cobra owner turn me down for a race because he said that he knew better! WOW..Thanks Chris!

Good times
