I attempted to do this one, it was a big pain and i didnt have the patience so i gave up.

But what i do know is the auto trannys are exactly the same, and shafts are the same. You need to swap ecu and harness, exhaust pipe is the same i believe. The fuel line, throttle cables and AC are different. The air intake hose and filter are slightly different and the heater hoses and hoses to the radiatior are different. The top motor mount on the pully side is the only one thats different i do believe. Other than that, you just have little things on the firewall that need changed too, im not even sure what they are. I just noticed them on my 2.0 eclipse that werent on my 1.8 laser. Thats about all i know about doing the swap. I did manage to pull my 2.0 out but tore up alot of stuff to do it. I decided it wasnt worth it, cause if it wouldnt start, you would have so much crap to go back and check that it would just be too much of a headache to do. I do promise though that the auto trannys are the same, cause i successfully swapped them with no problems. So you wouldnt have to mess with hubs, shafts, and a new tranny.
Kris was right, they have a distributer. Cost me 200 bucks for a rebuilt one cause the housing broke on mine trying to remove it, all because a stupid shear pin broke.
