Ok here's what I have done to my 99 GST so far on the performance side: complete APEXi N1 exhaust system (boy does it sound good) and a K&N FIPK. I am thinking about upgrading the stock CBV. The HKS SSQ BOV seams to be the perfect fit for me. However, it vents to the atmosphere, so is there anyway I can rig it to where it re-circulates into the intake?

as always, my vote is a 1g bov. It'll do as good of a job as anything else for almost none of the price.

When I upgraded to the FP3052 ball bearing turbo and a Blow-through MAF set-up I went with a Tial that vent's to the atmosphere. Up until that time I ran a modified 1G BOV that recirculated. It worked well even when I was running 12.6's on the 14b turbo.

There is a fitting you can add to the hks ssq that recirculates it. I will try and find the part number for the kit. I think it is like a 20-30 for the kit.

Wow! Thanks so much for the info! Ill do some looking into that 1g BOV, do yall think it can withstand 400 hp? And Slacker83 thank you so much biggthumpup.gif , I had no idea they made a kit that recirculates it, I was just hoping I could jurry-rig it! biggrin.gif Oh, Kicks, how did you get a blow-through MAF? Did you make it, or did you buy it from somewhere?

A 1g will hold 25psi with a slight crush on it. I've done it myself. It'll do 400hp, but much past that and you'll need something bigger.

Here is a link to a page that sells the recirc fitting. Also if you end up going the 1g bov route I have one laying around.

The blow-through set-up is an option when you install a MAF-Translator. Install the translator with a GM MAF, and you can mount the sensor on the pressure side of the i/c piping, after the bov.

I recommend the following mod over crushing it.
