BOOYAKASHA!!!

My DREAM fuel injectors. DUAL SPRAY PATTERN, OEM Mitsu, and 510cc!!!!!!! I'm told the Yellow and pink tops are off the Lancer Evo 3 and Evo 6.

very nice, but I'm confused. Are those six yellow tops yours? If so what's the deal with the pink top pic? Either way, that should supply all your fuel needs.

If the III and the VI use the 510cc's what does the VIII use?

According to Dave Buschur, the VIII's use 550cc injectors, though I couldn't verify that anywhere else.

Originally the 4G63 had 450cc, then in about 91-92 Mitsu made an EVO 0 GVR4, it had 510cc injectors with black tips, those tips look just like the tips on the B450Ls used in the 1G US DSMs. When they made the Lancer EVO I they changed the tip to a green tip with a wide spray, I refer to it as tip because when I had two close up side by side once, I noticed that it wasn't just the pintle cap that is different. The reason they changed the tip is to suit the dual inlet valve of the 4G63 and other motors, makes a lot of sense, rather than spraying right into the centre, I wish it was easier to get large injectors like that with a spray that is better suited to dual inlet valve motors. The wide angle 510cc are also yellow but the tip is green, they were used in Lancer EVO I through to IV, the V and VI used a different injector, it's pink with a green tip (like the EVO I-IV 510cc tip) it is quoted 560cc, they are super rare to find, I had a set earlier this year, interestingly they cc rated 600cc at only standard fuel pressure, Mitsus rating is rather conservative and the '510cc' are known to flow at around 530cc with only standard fuel pressure. It was once suggested to me that perhaps they are rated with regards to air pressure in the front, this could account for the conservative rating. The EVO VII has different injectors again, not sure about the IIX, either would be near impossible to find. Even the VI was hard enough to find, the local Ralliart wanted what equates to about $650 US for a used set of 4, my set was the same although without such a hefty price tag, about half the price, I wouldn't even bother trying to get a set of 6 from an IIX.

I had about 30 of these 510cc injectors, mostly EVO VI and also III and some II, I had them all cleaned and put into matching sets of 4 and 6 with relative flow being the main factor they were grouped by instead of mileage, I now only have one more set of 6. I only know of two other sets of 6 EVO injectors in existance, they were all put together by me, one of those sets is in the photo. This is probably the last set of 6 I will do because 4 x 510cc are so popular on the 4G63, on which they can even be run with the stock ECU program provided the 02 sensor is used. This set of 6 Lancer Evolution 510cc injectors were all flow tested relative to one another to within 1-2% for the whole set. I did not cc rate them as it is the relative flow that I am concerned with.

I've heard the new EVO VIII's are supposedly 530cc which is what I originally was searching for, but they are $108 at cheapest and that was just a little expensive. I REALLY wannted the dual spray pattern which is why I was searching around for EVO injectors, and I found these. 20ccs less is not something I am THAT worried about as the distribution of fuel with these injectors is amazing. When I bought my blue tops I really wanted the black top injectors from the 2G DSMs with the dual spray nozzle, but those are $$$$ and not worth it for only 450cc per, especially considering that I got these for just a little bit more per, and these are clean. The best part is they are still 30ccs within "acceptable" range for the S-AFC to control:)
