my mods are in sig, cat is on the car, and the dump is off the car. the car now has a s-afc and mkiv smic. my HC's hydrocarbons are sky high. the limit is like .80 gpm(grams per million) my cars reading is 7.80. the c0's are ok, but the HC's have caused me to fail the test some 6-7 times. what can i do to lower the hc's?? btw, hc's is unburnt gas, what are the causes of this? spark plugs are an obvious, but what else? please help!!

Did you have your cat off for the test? If so, that is most likely your problem. Where do you live that you have to worry about emmisions testing? Chicago?

it wont take that all the way down but change your oil, oil filter, and run 104 octane race fuel for like a week before testing it. my friend passed his nissan 240se that way without a cat. its so low he told them it was there and they couldnt realy check.
