Installing a amp and sub in the blazer, and the galant not sure what it's deal is.I think the mpi relay may be bad.

Working on interior on the stang at this point. got the cage mostly painted with first coat of primer last night, gonna try and get second coat on later this week, and start prepping the floor for primer/sealer. once that's done, headliner going back in, roll bar padding, carpet, and seats. It's gonna look like a car again!

not me...I haven't been too motivated to do car work for the past year...
The Talon is sitting in the garage needing a compression test to see if vavles are stuck open and bent. Right next to it is the RX7 project with an empty engine bay waiting for the 302 on the engine stand to be dropped in. Harley is sitting in similar condition. The $200-250 stater and rotor need to be purchased and installed.
Work is getting busy and the local companies are starting to make purchases again. So that's taking most of my time along with Christmas prep.

Works picking up, probably won't touch the car for a while. To frickin cold to work in the driveway. Can't do anything I want with my car parked in the garage.
Planning a few things:
-new clutch...no choice, it's shot
-new chip to ignore knock while on the stutter
weight loss
-delete cruise control
-delete automatic seat belts, replace with normal standard belts
-delete rear wiper
-side dump exhaust
Sounds like Kicks needs to host an engine install party!

Been working 2 jobs. Haven't had a complete day off between the two since Nov 30.
Massively busy working overtime on a few projects at work.
Typical pining for a project car and looking at my empty wallet and eyeball level debt.

Just finished the 92 gst today!!!! I traded it off for a 91 talon awd. I think the talon has a blown head gasket. So i got one done and i get another to take its place!! I might be an idiot for trading a running car for a non runing car but its in great shape and its awd. Untouched engine and only 114,000 miles on it.

That sounds like a real good trade to me. Remember to double check the head when changing gasket to make sure it's not warped, as I didn't do when I first changed one...
Good luck on the new project!
Got the noiseproofing on the roof of the mustang last night, and headliner back in, plus some roll bar padding installed. Starting to look like a car on the inside again!

Yes it is. I traded it from a kid on central street scene named Zeb. I'm not sure how long he has had it.

yep finally lol. Starting to resemble a car on the inside again!
Maybe by next week I'll get the floor prepped for noiseproofing and carpet, but really need to get one last bar welded into the cage first. Course that means I have to buy the piece, be a while before I can get back to the fabricator i know and get it.

sweet, I'll find out, i *think* it's like 1 7/8", not sure wall thickness. I'll see if I can find the kit listing and find out for sure. Then just gotta measure the length i need.
Thanks!!
*Edit: Looks like it's supposed to be 1-5/8'' x .134 according to Jegs. I'll measure length tonight. Let me know what kind of beer you like

Is that 1-5/8 od or id? The pipe i can get may be a little biger than .134 but i'll check.

Dec 24 2009, 11:05 AM
I would guess OD, but I'll try and measure tonight. Didn't have a chance to do so last night. Honestly it really doesn't matter much, it's just the cross brace behind the seats for mounting the belts. Little bigger won't hurt anything. Thanks again and I'll try and get it measured out here today/tomorrow/this weekend.
Patterson353

No problem i'll try to get it mon or tues i'll just get like 8' or so. I think it will be real close on wall thickness as well.

I got it done!!! Not quite as planed. Learned a valuable lesson today about the 2g thermostat housing.

I was filling the radiator and I noticed it was coming out of the housing. So I pulled it off and realized the gasket wasn't right. So I had some gasket material and made one. I still have much to learn from you Godfathers of DSM!!!!!

Well with the blue one and the white one now out of the garage it is now time to work on the wifes 97. I plan to pull the motor and start tearing it apart this weekend!!

I'm not doing much to it mainly just to see what kind of shape everthing is in. I will take the balance shafts out. It has a new timing belt. Maybe port that little t25. I would like to put at least a 2 1/2" exhaust on it as well. Hopefully I can get alot done this weekend!!!!
