So Jim and I were going out to dinner last night and on the way home I begged him to stop by the mitsu dealer so we could check out some new cars.....after throwing a big ol hissy fit he finally gave in We pull in and they have the evo 8 just sitting there getting ready to go on a test drive. I strike up conversation with the fella taking it out and the salesman....turns out they are both really big on the car scene here in Lafy and the guy who is going on the test drive has a 95 tsi awd that he is going to start modifying soon! So they all wanted to take it for a test drive together and I decide to let Jim go and do the "guy" thing maybe make some new friends lol. They show up an hour later right as the dealership was closing......all 3 had smiles from ear to ear as they step out of the car. The car is amazing.......so needless to say as soon as we get back on our feet again we're going to trade either the 1g or my durango in on it.
While I was sitting there waiting for them to return I got pretty well aquainted with the gm of the Mitsu dealer here and much to my suprise the guy knows his stuff! He had me watching all kinds of rally videos featuring the evo.......all I have to say is.....I want...I need.....and I shall have!!!!!!

the way I figure is our kids are going to grow up around racing any how...their first word will probably be mitsubishi (hehehe) so why not do it right? lolthe only prob with the evo is the dogs can't fit in it....maybe we'll take the motor out of the evo and throw it in to an Endevor??? HMMMMM I think I like that idea!!!!

If you must!!! LOL! I am the only one that lives in springfield with one. There have been 3 sold from my dealer here....I am pretty sure I am the first one in illinois to have one. March 5th was the day I picked her up. I like being the only one with this car for the most part...every once in awhile I hear people say they see one of the other 2(the other two owners are in bloomington and peoria I believe). But, yes they are amazing cars....I had been waiting for almost 5 years for this car to make it's way over here. This car when pushed can almost be scary.

I believe Paco from Centralillinoisimports.org picked his up the day they hit the showroom floors.

I wasn't trying to build my ego at all, that is the last of my thoughts dipsmack. I asked him out of curiosity one day when we were talking on the forum at CILimports.com...and it dawned on me that there is a good chance that I was the 1st in illinois to have one. I really could care less....I got my evo. Why do you think I was boosting my ego just cause I have an evo and YOU! don't.....I work my ass off for this car...it doesn't come easy for me...I work 11 hour days for it, starting at 4:30 AM..and if you are gonna ask me if I wanna boost my ego? not really....no need for it, the car speaks for itself.....I only want to boost my ego to you my friend!!!

Sorry man, ya got the wrong person for that. At 23, I have a nice house, 3 cars, a good job, and a good marriage. I am the last one that needs my ego boosted. I, as well, have worked my ass for every dime and thing I have ever gotten and am damn proud of it. As far you having the Evo and me not, whoopty f*cking do. Maybe you guys don't need your ego boosted by I do! My car doesn't run, isn't fast, I'm poor and my job sucks. And I just had to take the wheels off my car to put 'em on the trailer since my lease is up. And last year I had to sell the double wide and buy a regular trailer.
