Is it cheaper to by as Penzoil rather than the $9/bottle at the GM dealer? If so where at?

I found it for under $5 per bottle at Autozone. GM and Penzoil say it's not the same thing, but "Synchromesh" is a trademarked name, like "Corvette." If Hyundai made a Corvette they would get sued and shut down and since Penzoil and GM both continue to make a product with the same name I am fairly confident that the two fluids are identical and most likely made by Penzoil (for GM). It just doesn't make sense that they would both have a different product with the same name. My vote goes Synchromesh. My nearly 94,000 mile old 6-speed Getrag in the Stealth likes it and shifts fairly smoothly all things considered
