I need an ecm (so the shop tells me) where can i get one....how much would it cost......(minimum) can I put it in........whats the diff between Ecm and a Tcm....help is needed...thanks guys.

engine control modules are pretty easy to find. I sold one for a 1g AWD not too long ago for 100. I've seen 1G EPROM ones for around twice that. If you're looking for one for a 2g it'll naturally be more expensive.

I'm fairly sure TCM is transmission control modules, and its 1) separate from an ECM, and 2)only applies on AT cars.
