hey guys i was wondering. I cleaned out my cat about 6 months ago and then i put on a test pipe, and i have been throwing the same code it is cutting my fuel and causing me to run VERY lean . Do any of you know where i can get an O2 simulator? My friend said that was the only way i could fix it.

What year and model car do you have? If its a 1st gen it shouldnt throw any codes because of a testpipe, and it shouldnt effect performance negatively. If its a 2nd gen it will throw a code, but it shouldnt effect performance any negatively. I've got a writeup on how to wire the 2nd O2 sensor wires so that they dont throw the code, but Its on .doc format. Download it here. It probably wont help as it only tricks the car into thinking that the O2 readings are correct, but it may help you eliminate that code, which means it might throw you the proper code. Also I got a bosch universal O2 sensor from autozone. While your there pick up the O2 sensor sockets, they will make your job ALOT easier. And they are free to rent with a deposit, so why not?

its a 2nd gen. My friend said that the exhaust running though the pipe past the sensor is read rich so my computor cuts back my fuel. I dont even have forced induction and i can feel a fuel drop off if im gettin on it. My car doesnt really pull at all after like 3 or 4 and it did before i threw the code.

Well it might be the O2 sensor, but its not because of the test pipe. The second O2 sensor doesnt effect the A\F mixture at all. It is pretty much there to throw a code when the cat goes bad. The first O2 determines the A\F mixture. But it is located before the cat so it would not be effected by the test pipe. You may not pull hard after 4 or 5 K because when you lower the backpressure on a NA car it doesnt necisarrily increase HP, and in some cases it can decrease HP. If you want to check the O2 sensor pull it out and check too see what it looks like. It usually will be extremely white if its bad. Good luck.
