Mike
You guys know these mitsu engines, what are the best plugs for these engines. I have the 6g72 and am just curious!

TIA,
SCCA Stang
when i bought my car the first thing i did was a tune up on it. i put in bosch platinums and later found out that this was a bad move. you dont want to put platinum plugs in a turbo charged engine. ngk plugs are what the mitsu engines want. ive found that the mitsu engines are very finicky.

I believe he's talking about the NT 6G72 in his Chrysler.

I don't know what to tell you Mike. I've only worked on the turbocharged Mitsu engines.

Ok... before this goes any farther...

Mike owns a 2002 Stratus that apparently has the Mitsubishi made n/a 6g72 motor in it. Nate was simply commenting that he has only worked with the turbocharged mitsubishi motors, and doen't know much about the non-turbo ones. I hope everyone's on the same page now... biggthumpup.gif

Mike, I don't know what to tell you either.... I've heard that some are better than others, but have no proof to back it up. I'd say look for a quality set of platnums or if you really get crazy iridiums... unsure.gif

Yeah Chrysler's been putting Mitsu engines into some of their cars since the late 80's/early nineties. Sister corporations.
