OK, just for kicks... which do you think would be better for me...

Future plans are only 16g, 3" mandrel exhaust, maybe some 550 injectors and a small FMIC. That should be pleanty to keep me smiling for at least a couple years. Now, I have a 3" GM MAS with filter ready to go, just haven't gotten funds to order the Translator yet.

Now, I think that the stock MAS would be able to flow enough to get me where I want to go, but hey, bigger's always better. biggrin.gif I'm just wondering if I would be better off selling the MAS and getting a SAFC (going for about $200 used) or just getting the Translater ($200 plus shipping). I suppose I could hold onto the GM MAS, get an SAFC for now, and get the Translator later, and use it in conjunction with the SAFC.

Aaagggghhhhhh!!! I think to much.... wacko.gif

Anybody got an opinion or suggestion

I couldn't be happier with the translator. It just seems less finicky than a stock maf/SAFC combo. If I were in your position, I'd go for the translator.

On my black Talon, when I first got it, I was running a 16g at 17 psi, an exhaust, and a hacked 1G MAF and having no problems with fuel cut or leaning out. No injectors, no big fuel pump, no fuel upgrades whatsoever. I still have that 16g up for sale...let me know if you want it. First $180 takes it. biggrin.gif

Not to hi-jack Rob's thread (too late), but what condition is that 16G in Nate? My stocker is starting to pool oil in the compressor housing and smoke a bit.

It needs oils seals, but that's about it. The shaft doesn't wobble or move back and forth. The fins are in perfect condition as are the housings. A basic oil seal rebuild and balancing (optional but recommended) is all it needs. PM me or email me at natedogg661@yahoo.com if you are interested.
