hey guys sorry i havent had much time to post as much on here. I have been workin my ass off on this new
web site for tuning and another car club that is just getting its feet wet.

the club is called Deviant Tuning

it is composed of a small group of my friends and we are looking for new members. we are adding new members on a invite (recruited) basis only.

the only requirements are that you have a car (sport compact, detroit muscle, doesnt matter), and that you live in the area and can attend meetings.
you must also show an interest in "tuning" your car, (visually or performance)

if anyone wants to check out the site feel free, we have a forum and you are welcome to create a sign in and for a few lucky people you may even be able to become members.

just so you know my user name on the new site is "tech"

Well thanks for the invite but I have my own club Xplicit Impressions and I like to associate with DSM Central. If your club would like to grow and be apart of XICC please feel free to contact me or maybe someday we can all get together.

thanks for the invite, maybe we can all get together and hang out but I dont know what all we would want to do as far as a merge. I will bring up the idea at the next deviant tuning meeting, but I doubt that the other guys will agrre to merge.

i think that our forum will require that u register with us, but registering doesnt require you to participate in meetings.

Hey guys, never posted here before, but I believe I met a few of you at the Normal car show last month.

Anyways, I figured I'd jump on here and give my guy a little back up. I'm the webmaster over at Deviant Tuning and wanted to explain what's goin' on.

First, the website is under complete overhaul. The website that's currently up was only there as a placeholder and an indication of things to come. The new site is much crispier and promises to be much fun. We invite everyone that might be interested to write feature articles about tech and tuning subjects, a pimp ride that just craves the spotlight or even a CD you can't cruise without. The tentative "go live" date has jumped from October 1st (obviously, the overhaul forced us past that) to November 1st.

Second, we also feature a forum. I'd like to put the fact out there that we are NOT in contention with any other team, club, or Mitsu forum. Our goal is not to "steal" anyone, just to offer additional content that might not be found elsewhere. The forums are also still under construction, but a noticeable difference from the old site and the new site is also a new forum. Third, thanks so much for the merge offer. It's not often that one gets such a warm invitation "sight unseen" (never met us, but willing to open the doors anyways). It's good to know that there are other clubs out there trying to be as kind-hearted as we'd like to be. However, at this time, we'll have to decline. The reason for this is because we've all rolled together for such a long time, it would seem like we were playing ourselves out. No offense to anyone.

Fourth, I must say, I've only been visiting these forums for a few months, never really posted, but... great community going on here. Good flow, advice, communication. I can only hope to make our forums this good.

Anyways, just felt like droppin' in and clarifying a few things. Also, Tech, gimme a holla' later. Peace.

Just so you know there is a show in Decatur that CII and Sangamon Valley is putting on. Its the 2nd annual. Last year wasnt all that bad around 60 cars I do believe. SO feel free to bring your Team to the show there are many many classes to checkout. Later

I appreciate the invite! We'd be happy to jump on up there. What sucks, though, is that a lot of us already have our cars put up for winter (with the exception of gsxracer80; his is his daily driver). I haven't even bought mine yet, truthfully, so of course I'd be ridin' shotty anyways. One of our members is currently serving his country, and another needs to serve his tranny (of course the odds of which are right up there with me gettin' a Skyline). LoL, as you can see, we're in pretty dogged shape right now, but that's the whole point of winter for us. Heated garages, late nights, lots of tuning, good times.

We may just yet pop on down to Decatur, just to meet some fellow clubbers and tuners. Again, I appreciate the invite and I'll pass it on to my guys.

alright guys, the site is up and running, there is a small glitch in it but we are working on it. the forums are working perfectly, and there are some interesting articles that you all can read. come on guys check it out.

Hmmm nice site design but you cant register , some pages are missing, you get an www.opencube error when you visit, and proboards from what I hear is going to start charging for people who have a lot of hits. Then you are stuck cuz you cant convert the DB to any other board software and you will loose all the posts you already have! Good luck with the site and it looks like you have a great start!

we had several people register before, maybe something happened and we develpoed another glitch.

the open cube message is what I was talking about before with the original glitch and we are already working on that. and i was unaware of the charge that proboards was going to charge.
