Does anybody know who i can get ahold of someone to help me get the ball joint out of the spindle where the control arm is. Heres my post from dsmtalk "ok I couldn’t get my control arm off on the driver side. I tried everything from crow bars to ball joint separators and torches. Finally I got pissed and went dremel nuts for like an hour. I got the control arm off and got to just the ball joint. I have been soaking it in PB blaster for 3 days now and have tried everything to get it out of the steering knuckle. Still wont come off!!!" Does anyone know what else i can do? I just got my rebuilt engine in and cant do anything untill i get this ball joint out! is there somebody i can call buisness or not in peoria that could have something that might work? The car isnt really towable. Thanks!

I just did my ball joint tonight. it really wasn't hard so i don't know why you had so much trouble. you have to remember to TAKE OFF THE SNAP RING!! it holds the ball joint in the control arm. if you don't do this you can press on it all day and all you'll do is bend the shit out of the control arm. after that it should press out reall easy with a ball joint service clamp or hydrolic press. if you don't have either of these i'm sure SLO_PNY can help you out. or i work at MISTUBISHI and i know we can do it for you. hope this helps.

The control arm is already off, its the ball joint itslef that i cant get out. I dont know why, the passenger side poped right out with a joint separator. If i had a digi cam i would take a pic. I will see if i can get a pic somehow.
