I removed all 4 bolts that hold the transfer case to the trani, then I started to get the unit to slide off of the shaft but it stopped.

I can still wiggle it around but don't seem to be making any progress. Tips anyone???

if it's anything like mine, there should be a little bugger hiding up on the top, middle area of the transfercase, it's usually the most rearward bolt on top ph34r.gif

well I've located the fifth bolt and removed it and sure enough the transfer case slid right off, I also have the half million bolts for the trani loosened (including the three that you need to remove the battery tray to even see) tomorrow I sould be removing it and taking it to SloPny to get rebuilt. maybe I will be able to make the rescheduled SCDC!!!!
