Hey!

Just for shits, I sent this to the Feature Editor of Sport Compact Car yesterday. I mentioned you guys in it, so I figured you should at least know what I did.

I’m not expecting anything to come of it, but I’ll definitely be in touch if something does.

Jared,

I am the President of a local not for profit automobile enthusiast organization, catering primarily to import and sport compact owners. Our primary geographical region is smack dab in the middle of Illinois, and the name of our organization is Central Illinois Imports (“CII”). We have been in existence online for only two years, but have a solid member base of nearly 1,000 members both from the central Illinois region and from other surrounding Midwest regions. A good number of our members have been tuning import and domestic sport compact vehicles since the early 90’s and have helped bring the import revolution to the Midwest.

As a whole, we are very performance oriented and have members who both race their vehicles at local SCCA Solo II events and drag racer alike. Our local DSM Central is run by DSM tuners who were pioneers in the very beginning of DSM tuning and is still run by those pioneers.

As an organization, we feel that we could provide you with several quality vehicles for a possible feature presentation in an upcoming issue of Sport Compact Car. With the West Coast getting most of the attention in print media, we feel we could represent another portion of the US that is often overlooked in the import industry. Please send me a contact name and mailing address for which I may address a formal proposal. Any tips or content suggestions you have to offer would be appreciated.

Regards, and thank you for the time it took you to read this email!

Ben Zimmerman
President – Central Illinois Imports

That would be cool, except I have a Stealth, and the editor of SCC made a point of registering on 3Si and completely dissing the 3S platform because there's no 9 second cars, and only 2-3 ten second cars.

They can go **** themselves.

Thats cool. I'm glad he didnt include a link to the CII forums. They would have just laughed at all the morons and disreguarded everybody else.
