hey guys... just thought I would see how many people would shut their machines down late in a round if something breaks at the track and you are about to melt a piston or something like that, but you were winning the race or catching the other guy fast.

personally, I would probably burn the damn thing to the ground and worry about how to fix it later.

Before the race...I'd say no way would I blow it up.

Unfortunantely I don't think that way on the track, I keep it matted to the floor and kick myself in the ass afterward for blowing it up.

I think my breakage record speaks for it's self. If it doesn't there are a few stories told now and then about my lack of logic while racing.

When you're in the moment, its hard to shut it down. Besides, by the time you realize something is about to break, its usually too late.

Amazing we've only seen that bad kind of smoke once.

Usaully when you hear there is a problem the damage is already done and the run is shut down on its own. sad.gif

I am sure that we all have seen times that it would have been nice to see that little man under the hood fix shit a little faster as we are breaking it.

Always shut down

You need to think about the other racers safety as well as your own. If you go oiling the entire track down (and you could have prevented it) you're going to have a large group of racers pissed off that you're making them wait, not to mention the track officials/crew will most likely look down on you as well.

Its a big courtesy thing to shut down immediately when you notice somethings wrong

I let off of the Buick the one time I wrapped my 30psi VDO gauge back around to the '0' peg, *chuckle*.
