went out to check on the talon and thought i would try to fix the not going into reverse problem....i figured i could adjust the clutch cause i figured it just wasnt disengaging all the way.....when i sit in the car with it started, if i even move the shifter over towards first gear the car starts to roll forward...when i put it in first it starts grabbing about an inch away from fully pressed down.....i tried adjusting the master cylinder rod but adjusting it both ways made almost no improvement....and when you pop the cap off of the mastercylinder and press the clutch all the way down the fluid doesnt move....does that sound like the slave cylinder?

I'm not sure what exactly the problem is? The car doesn't go into ONLY reverse? Is that with the car turned on or off? Does it go into any other gear? About the slave cylinder...if the o-ring is bad, I think it USUALLY leaks, but I don't know if you can tell just by looking at the slave cylinder if it's leaking or not. It seems to me that we had to remove the rubber boot to get a real good idea if the O-ring was leaking, though. I believe that slave cylinder rebuild "kits" are real cheap, though. You might just want to rebuild yours. And make sure you bleed it WELL.
