went out to check on the talon and thought i would try to fix the not going into reverse problem....i figured i could adjust the clutch cause i figured it just wasnt disengaging all the way.....when i sit in the car with it started, if i even move the shifter over towards first gear the car starts to roll forward...when i put it in first it starts grabbing about an inch away from fully pressed down.....i tried adjusting the master cylinder rod but adjusting it both ways made almost no improvement....and when you pop the cap off of the mastercylinder and press the clutch all the way down the fluid doesnt move....does that sound like the slave cylinder?

I had a problem on my AWD where the clutch would still grab even when the pedal was to the floor. Turned out to be a bad master cylinder in my car. But like ICGerms said, you may just need to bleed the hydraulics. It could be the slave cylinder as well esp. if it shows any sign of leaking. The slave and master cylinders both are pretty cheap from advance auto. So you won't be losing an arm and a leg to replace them if bleeding the hydraulics doesn't help.
