i was on vfaq and i cant find how to trick my stock maf by wiring the resistor. does
anyone know how to or where to get the info

What is a "hacked" MAS?
What is an "Al Blaha" MAS?
What is a "Mike Jackson" MAS?
A "hacked" MAS is a first-generation MAS sensor that has had a large amount of the lower opening cut away. The resulting sensor has a lower section that is much larger than the upper section. The air going through the lower section is not measured by the ECU, while the air through the upper section is. The net result is a sensor that flows more air than stock, but measures less air than stock.

The other terms are references to the people who offered the hacking modification as a service, back when it was not well understood. Al Blaha is the one widely credited with inventing the process; Mike Jackson also offered hacked MAS units.

The "Blaha" MAS also included a resistor in-line with the MAS temperature sensor. This modification was intended to fool the ECU into thinking the air was colder than it really was. This helps offset the fact that there is more air going in to the engine than the ECU is actually measuring. It also included a small door to help the hacked MAS measure air better at idle. The exact details of the modification process is beyond the scope of this FAQ.
