I was getting very little braking before no matter how much I pumped the pedal. I bled the brakes and the ABS unit and now it will have some braking action on the first pump, a little more on the next, and more on the next but it's still not even good let alone great.
This car has been sitting maybe 10 years so I'm guessing Master Cylinder but wanted some insight before I go replacing parts. Thanks. |

QUOTE (gsxracer80 @ Aug 5 2004, 10:58 AM) if you just can't get brake pressure, then I would guess master cylynder or calipers I'm getting brake pressure, quite a bit of squirt when im bleeding the brakes, but like I said each pump gets progressively better stopping but no where near what it should be. This fluid is probably from 1990 and I know it needs to go but it is not black and brown. There are no leaks that I can see. I just want to make sure before I pronounce it a master cylinder that it is actually that. It just seems weird I'd be getting any pressure at all if the MC was bad. |
