can you tell me what the stock flywheel for a 98 GSX weights are i am giong to get a light weight one and need to know how much the stocker is. so i can see how much rotating mass will be droped off the crank. this will help me decide what wheel to buy as well. thanks!!!

This might not apply to DSM guys, but I don't see why it wouldn't, but for drag, lighter flyhweels are bad. When launching it the rotational interia of the flywheel that helps you get off the line. A lighter flywheel means you have to launch higher and it is more inconsistant. It will also drop rpm's faster between shifts, which is a bad thing for us that other car that we shall not name guys with VTEC to worry about dropping out of. But for road racing and a street car it would be a good thing. Other than when taking off from a stop you'll have to slip it at a higher rpm to get going. I have no idea what the weight is, but I thought I would throw that in there.
