can you tell me what the stock flywheel for a 98 GSX weights are i am giong to get a light weight one and need to know how much the stocker is. so i can see how much rotating mass will be droped off the crank. this will help me decide what wheel to buy as well. thanks!!!

The chro-moly flywheels apparently aren't working out for the big HP guys, they're all back to Fidanzas. At least, Darryl told me that he and Shepard have both switched back.

When you actually have an engine that makes good power, a heavy flywheel isn't really all that necessary for drag launches, especially with a stutterbox. Mr. Awd4kicks seems to have no trouble launching with a fidanza.

If your transmission is that hard to shift that your RPMs are droppping between shifts more than what it takes to match the next gear, I don't know what to tell you, except that its relatively easy to be on the throttle a little bit during a shift.
