ok, since I have got done with my project I have been noticing that I have to replace about a quart of oil every week and a half (roughly). it is not leaking, (I know its hard to beleive that a DSM is not leaking) and it doesn't smoke bad. it does smoke on start-up and when I get on it.... but according to the people that have seen the smoke, they say it is black smoke... and oil is blue smoke, so what is the most common opinion as to what the problem is???

Wait, are you sure you put oil in it before you ran it? LOL....J/K.
If its leaking from the exhaust valve guides or seals it would be very sooty and thick with build up in the ports. If its not in your coolant, and its not leaking to the outside, the only other place is you burning it. The smoke on start-up is a VERY good indication its the valve seals or guides. -------------------- |
