I am trying to buy this 91 eclipse gs-t off this kid in my town. he doesn't know squat about the car, it's completely stock (yay), and it's clean. only problem being it wouldn't start. he said last time he started it was a week ago and it just stopped running while it was warming up and he said it hasn't started since. it just goes click ugh (like the starter is trying to turn the bastard over. first thing i tried jumping it. (nothing) next troubleshot all elctrical ( biggthumpup.gif ), checked fuses, relays, etc... and still nothing. decided it must be starter. so i replaced the starter. still nothing. this baffeled me, so i went to the next biggest problem causing agent, the ecu. threw in a n/t i had laying around and as you can imagine it didn't do a god damn thing. so i'm here asking you the dsm gurus of the nation, any ideas? i think locked rear balance shaft? siezed motor/spun a bearing real bad. any help would be awesome, i really want the car, but i refuse to buy without hearing her run. dry.gif

You may already know this and checked it, but just to make sure the basics are covered. A very dead battery or bad battery connections will hinder attemps to jump start. clean battery connections and a fresh battery have cured many ails.

If the engine physically will not turn over though...no battery will help.
