so my brother recently acquired a new talon. when he got it the car had a slight miss I thought ok I should be able to take care of it. picked her up got it home. checked out the plugs 3 were ok. 1 had the tip completely blown off. I thought wow this is prlly the problem. threw in some bpr6es and away she went smooth as can be.
now the problem, no more than 36 hrs later car comes back 3 tips GONE 1 tip smashed to zero gap. car barely runs and does not like boost at all. only known problems with the car is an exhaust leak. I saw what look like some signs of a bad head but have not narrowed it down yet. I'm wondering if this is something any of you guys have seen before and had any solutions. I'm also wondering if anyone has a logger I can borrow to throw on the car and see what comes up on it. |

justin if you didn't figure out a fix for your plugs yet try backing them off about a turn or so after they are snug it is not a great fix but if it works put it in like that with some loc tite until you can afford a new head. i did it on my last cherokee to keep it from slapping the plug and closing the gap on piston number 6.
and soccer, what kind of dsm do you have year? model? body and int? miles? i might be interested pm me with more if it is indeed for sale |
