 Engine running funny, I need help |

Quick and dirty, folks. Revved engine up to 7k while accelerating, and a little past 7, it started hesitating like with a rev limiter, and after that the engine has ran really weird. It feels like a miss in the engine, but its not jerky. Just really weak. And it sort of growls instead of purrs. Very hard to describe.
Anyhow, it ran like this until I stopped and turned the car off. On restart, everything was normal. That is until a while later when I revved it high again. At first I thought I might have jumped timing, but obviously, that doesn't just go away, so I'm thinking maybe loose plug wire, cloged injector or fuel filter perhaps?
