I just bought a block off of ebay, tell me what you guys think, it was 350, i have one problem though, the guy wants to charge me 400 EXTRA to ship it from pennsylvania, i could understand that much if it was a whole engine but i think he is rippin me for just the block, tell me what you guys think though, and what is the engine ear that he is talking about? he said an engine ear broke off

I'll have to double check but I'm pretty sure I only paid ~225 for shipping of a whole engine from California.
For that kind of money you could buy a block that needs rebuilding from someone locally and have it rebuilt. It would be fresher and in better shape most likely. I know there's a few in the for sale section on here even. If you go with the e-bay one, at least don't let him make a huge profit on shipping. I'd say, get a shipping quote yourself and hold the seller to it. Good luck. |
