What kind of options do you guys know of for your car battery.

I recently relocated my battery to the rear hatch area to make room for the FMIC piping. In my opinon this is the first step away from a dependable daily driver (Second if you count owning a DSM), now that I had to remove the spare tire.

What are your experiences with the smaller race type batteries? Do they hold up to DD use? Do they have the cranking abilities of the standard batteries?

Are there any other options anyone knows of? I would really like to keep this car as DD friendly as possible.

I am running an Optima Red Top in the GSX.
It is mounted in the stock location
The CCA far exceed what the stock battery puts out.

dependability remark.

When my wife ran the battery out of power, which by the way is very difficult to do with an optima, she left the dome light on for over two weeks, and when she went back out to periodicly start my car, she noticed the the light, was still on!!! wacko.gif the battery had enough left to power th light, but was not enough to crank the engine over (my only complaint) after that incident it took fricken forever to recharge. no problems since!!! biggrin.gif

In my opinion, very durable battery
