Thinking about adding a sub and upgrading the front speakers. Did my brother's 90's Lazer back in the day and it sounded really good. Had 5 1/2" mids in the door and a set of 3 1/2" and 1" tweaters in the dash with a 12 in the hatch.
Was thinking of 2 routes, first one would be a removable box/sub amp in the hatch with a single 10" so I can ditch it for track days. Second would be replacing the stock rear speakers with 8" subs.. I ran a similar setup in my Talon. I had a set of Infinity Kappa components up front, and a sub box in the the back. Driving this combination was a RockfordFosgate 4 channel sub. The front two channels ran the components, while the bridged rear channels drove the sub. Mix with a puree'd lemon sauce and enjoy.
