Hey, guys. Can anybody help me with my seatbelt. Something's up with one of the sensors. When I turn the key on, the seatbelt, which has been in the forward position, returns to the rear, just as it's supposed to. Then, trouble comes into Paradise. When it reaches the point at which it's supposed to settled in its rest position that it's supposed to be at when you drive, it starts to do funny stuff. It'll jump up and down like the motor is sensing that the door is open and closing rapidly.

This problem is intermittent, but getting worse. At first, it would only do this every once in a while. Opening and closing the door would stop it from doing that. Now, it's doing it at the weirdest times and opening and closing the door doesn't always help. It's much more common than it used to be. Additionally, everytime it does this, the seatbelt indicator on the dashboard kicks in and some sort of audible tone is heard. In all, it takes about a second to complete it's bounce up and down, so until I get it to stop, there is a continual bounce of the seatbelt that kind of reminds me of the ticking of a clock.

I did a few things to try and fix the problem. First off, I replaced the motor and the seatbelt assembly. I got one off of a parts car, so there was no expense involved. Thought that would solve the problem, but no such luck. Then, I got a screwdriver and pulled out the door jamb switch. I disconnected the switch while the motor was going crazy, and it didn't do any good. It still bounced up and down like it's ass was on fire.

So, the motor is okay, and the switch doesn't seem to be the problem either. Do you guys have any ideas for me? Maybe there's a relay or something that controls that motor. The driver's side works fine. Just the passenger's side going haywire.

Thanks in advance for all of your help.
Jon
